Elizabeth Lord's brother, Montague, worked plantations in the Phillipines. This urn was made in China and used to ship tea to the Phillipines. Montague shipped it to Elizabeth to place in the Scroll Garden. Alice Brown referred to the Scroll Garden as the Chinese Garden because of the urn's origin. It is 3.5 feet tall and was the focal point on the west end, sitting on the brick work. Photo by Bobbie Dolp, 2007.
